  • Tips for capturing an accurate image:
    • Use a white piece of paper as a background for the insect you are photographing.
    • Zoom in as much as possible to show the details of the body/wings/coloring.
    • If the insect is alive and moves quickly try taking a video showing how its behaving.
    • Keep in mind that if the insect is already dead or damaged it may be more difficult to identify. Send us as much information about its size and appearance as you can.
